I have a great joy to witness each day the sunrise at many of the beaches of Loreto, which for me are for is the greatest show in the world. I also enjoy hiking the sierra mountains of Loreto with it's flora and fauna that connects me to the nature. My favorite pastime is to share and enjoy every moment with my family. Be at all times with my daughter. I also like to spend time with my friends, going out to dance and sing, even though I do not have a very nice voice. I have a philosophy based on the tenacity of us Mexicans facing challenges against anything in the way the we are not afraid of making mistakes - "if I do not know it, I invent it." Alex Martin Estrada Mendoza, is 27 years old and was born in Loreto Baja California Sur, he is a graduate from the UABCS Campus with a B.S. in Alternative Tourism.
I love nature, especially the sea although I don't know how to swim, one of my short-term goals is to master this skill. I like to contemplate the natural environment in silence and listen to the sounds of each of its elements. Aside from that I enjoy expend time with my family and friends, with trips to the beach, outings to dance or simply with entertaining talks. Besides also traveling and discovering new places, people and their culture. For me organization and communication are key ingredients for success in any field, whether work or personal.

Tom knows and loves birds, and his enthusiasm is infectious. He has been living in Loreto for decades and with a real knowledge and passion, he has catalogued birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and other animals with pictures and textual information in his website www.bcsbirds.com, a must go reference for the Bird Watchers and Naturalists visiting Baja California Sur.
For me a healthy, well-educated and financially stable community is key factor in achieving sustainability in the long run for Loreto and the region. That is why I consider important to inspire children in the classrooms and in the field, so that they become the future conservation leaders and stewards of their environment.
