Sukasa is perfect for the traveler who
doesn't want the typical hotel atmosphere. Our personalized
service will make you feel at home and comfortable. Our oceanfront
property is beautifully landscaped with palm trees, cactus
gardens and shaded palapa style patios.You will find yourself
gazing at the most beautiful view in town as the sunset casts
its stunning colors against Carmen Island's hillsides. We
are located on the waterfront or "malecon" and within
walking distance to the main plaza and church where you will
find numerous restaurants, shops, and the bank.
Our two air conditioned bunglows are fully furnished and have
ceiling fans in each room. Your "home away from home"
consists of one large bedroom, living area, bathroom, dining
and kitchen area, large windows, and patios to make your stay
relaxing, romantic and memorable. The palapa-roofed, duplex
style bungalows can accomodate 2- 4 persons. There is a king
bed in the bedroom and an "L"shaped sofa/daybed
in the living room that can be doubled as two twin beds. The
kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee
pot, toaster, and a double burner. Basic plates, glasses,
and utensils are in each unit. The bathrooms are large with
a hot water shower, toilet and sink...sorry, there are no
bath tubs. We have a tv/video player in each unit. Since we
do not have satellite , we recieve 3 Spanish channels only.
Please ask to see our collection of videos for your viewing
enjoyment. We do not have internet hookup. We do have wi-fi
for your laptop.
Our new casita has all the above amenities,
plushas a full stove/oven to complete the full kitchen. The
nicely decorated stuccoed unit can accommodate 2-4 people.There
is a queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa/trundle bed in the
living area.
Our "yurt" room
is a modernized Mongolian tent! Yes, the nomads rolled up
animal skins and wood poles on their yaks and have roamed
their country for years. Our yurt is constructed with special
waterproofed canvass-like material, is supported by sturdy
cables and lumber, and is well insulatated for the cooler
winters and hot summers. This 14 foot in diameter dwelling
is furnished with a queen bed, small refrig, coffee maker,
and has A/C and a private bathroom. Rent our comfortable
yurt for a unique experience!
The "main house"
is an air conditioned, 2,100 sq ft one bedroom, two bath,
two story home located in the back of the property. Overlooking
both bungalows and the lovely gardens, it offers a grand view
of the Sea of Cortez. The bedroom is upstairs with a king
bed, a bathroom, a TV and large balcony. A loft/office area
also has a door opening to the upstairs balcony. The downstairs
kitchen is complete with a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker,
microwave, toaster, basic dinnerware, and pots/pans. The dining
and living area are modestly, yet comfortably furnished and
stylishly decorated. It is our pleasure to rent this romantic
and special home on an individual basis, a 7 day minimum stay
is required.

all credit card purchases.) Deposits are required for all
reservations.
