BEACHCOMBING
To the north and south of Loreto lie great expanses of relatively undisturbed beaches offering good shelling and snorkelling. Just offshore you'll find the desert islands of Loreto's Marine Reserve which include Isla Coronado, Carmen, Danzante, Monserrate and Catalan. In the lee of Isla Danzante 30 miles to the south reside the sister communities of Ligui and Ensenada Blanca, whose beautiful bay faces the Candeleros, containing many small volcanic outcroppings that jut out of the water within a mile of shore.
